Panorama Engineering Consultancy was established in 1984 by the late Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei — a leading and respected figure in the Urban Planning committees of the Ministry of Housing and the Royal Court Affairs. His vision was to create an all-Omani practice of the very highest calibre, rooted in the culture and ambitions of the Sultanate.
Under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Tariq Ali Al Mazrooei, MEng., PEC continues that legacy — growing in scale and capability while maintaining the values of precision, integrity and cultural sensitivity that have defined the practice for over four decades.
We remain one of Oman's leading all-Omani consultancies, providing quality architectural, structural, MEP and master-planning services across the private and public sectors, both within Oman and across the wider GCC region.

Founded by Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei
Panorama Engineering Consultancy established in Muscat by Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei — a founding member of the Urban Planning committees of the Ministry of Housing and Royal Court Affairs.

Major educational commissions from the Ministry of Education, alongside growing commercial portfolio including early retail and mixed-use projects across the Sultanate.
MEP & Full Multi-Disciplinary Practice
PEC becomes a fully integrated multi-disciplinary practice with in-house MEP engineering capability. Landmark projects include Shanfari Galleria (2014) and the Dusit Group hotel (Khuwair).
New Leadership — Tariq Al Mazrooei
Following the passing of founder Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei, the practice transitions to leadership under his son Tariq Ali Al Mazrooei, MEng. — carrying the legacy forward with renewed ambition.
Ruwaidi Resort — Hospitality Excellence
PEC completes the Ruwaidi Resort at Bimmah — a boutique hospitality project celebrating traditional Omani coastal architecture and becoming one of the firm's most acclaimed completed works.
Hai Majd — 400,000 m² Masterplan
PEC is commissioned for the Hai Majd mixed-use masterplan in Sohar — a 400,000 m² development for 8,000 residents, the firm's largest masterplanning commission to date.
Etlaq Spaceport — A National Milestone
PEC is selected as engineering consultancy for the Etlaq Spaceport Genesis 2.0 near Duqm — Oman's first commercial spaceport, commissioned by NASCOM.

Our multidisciplinary team combines deep specialist expertise with genuine collaborative spirit — architects, structural engineers, MEP designers and project managers working in close coordination from first concept through to final handover.
MEng. engineer with experience spanning architectural, civil and mechanical engineering. Tariq has over a decade of leadership in real estate development and project management with regional presence across Oman and the GCC. He has led PEC since 2017, carrying the legacy of founder Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei with renewed ambition and strategic clarity.
Leads PEC's architectural design practice with deep expertise across commercial, hospitality and residential typologies. Specialist in designs that marry contemporary form with authentic Omani cultural identity — ensuring every building adds meaningful value to its context.
Oversees all structural engineering output — from reinforced concrete and post-tensioned slabs through to steel structures, seismic analysis and dynamic loading. Every structure delivered to the highest international codes with rigorous QA throughout.
Leads mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering across all project types. Specialises in energy-efficient building services that reduce operational costs and environmental impact — tightly coordinated with architectural and structural disciplines from concept stage.

Chairman & Managing Director
An Engineer by trade with experience in architectural, civil and mechanical engineering and design. Tariq has over a decade in real estate development and project management with regional presence, owning and running PEC since 2017 following the passing of founder Architect Ali Al-Mazrooei.
